About Us

 Chanika has learnt from the best, growing up with both parents working in the hotel and catering industry. Her mother, S.G. Kusuma, worked as chef at the Tangalle Bay Jetwing Hotel before they closed for renovations and her father, K.G. Sivisena,  was the head chef for many years at the same hotel. Together they bring years of experince from top hotels, catering for local and foreign guests, along with a thorough knowledge of local ingredients and authentic Sri Lankan flavours.



Meals at Chanika Restaurant are never just "thrown together", but prepared with passion and a keen interest to create a real Sri Lankan  experience. 



On a busy day you'll be treated to a feast created by the whole family, with everyone getting involved with their own specialties.
